Happy Hearts was born after the devastating Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004 to rebuild schools better and safer and provide protection for all school children. Therefore, we understand the importance of preparing teachers and students for when disaster strikes. 

Action

We provide adequate disaster knowledge and awareness to all Happy Hearts rebuilt schools followed by on-site simulation practice. 

Outcome

Our disaster mitigation training involves students and teachers and is conducted regularly. Through videos and simulation practice we ensure that everyone understands the importance of being prepared for earthquakes and other disasters. Our trainings receive technical support from our collaborator, LPPM UPH.
