Happy Hearts library TBI (Taman Baca Inovator) Pieter Heinlen is located at Sumba Barat Daya, Nusa Tenggara Timur. This library serves over 170 students of SD Masehi Katura and PAUD King Kids. This library was built in 2019 using an old shipping container donated B.L Harbert International. We also have two other libraries made of old containers in Sumba Barat Daya, TBI Joseph Henry, and TBI Marie Ampere. Learn more about our Library Construction program. Since coronavirus spread at Sumba area in April, many schools were closed and our libraries are one of the methods children can continue learning. With the management of Taman Baca Inovator, we are able to stay open during the pandemic, implementing health protocols by providing water and soap for students who visit the library on site. We added adult books such as recipe and farming books in June 2020. And since then, we see an increase of daily visitors including students, their parents, and other local residents. The library only opens a few hours a day. Some stay and read, and others prefer to borrow books and return them afterwards.
