COVID-19 has made 2020 a difficult year for everyone worldwide including Indonesia. Businesses are finding ways to survive while societies are adjusting to the ‘new normal.’
For children in East Indonesia, limited data access means no online classes and so education comes to a halt. Schools are alternating shifts for students to keep with social distancing measures and teachers started doing home visits.
Happy Hearts Indonesia (HHI) is on the ground to bring children back to school as soon as possible. To date, in 2020 we had rebuilt 15 schools and 4 libraries in Lombok and Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).
