Happy Hearts Indonesia had a long outstanding impact for over 10 years, we have rebuilt over 370 schools and impacted 99.000 children across Indonesia. However, 2024 is a magnificent year for us, reminiscing our commitment to sustainability. We continue to build more block schools beginning in 2023 and it continues up to now. In total, we have rebuilt 42 schools, 7 libraries, 8 water accesses while serving 5.9K children, 29.9K community members and trained 92 teachers through our development program.
As our commitment to sustainability goes along the way, in 2024 we successfully reduced 306 tons of carbon emissions and recycled 156.3 tons of plastic waste. Not only rebuilding schools with eco-brick, beyond, we built 55 eco-block toilets and 3 eco-block libraries, strengthening our impact in creating a greener and more sustainable learning environment for children across Indonesia. Through these initiatives, we are not only providing safe and resilient infrastructure but also instilling environmental awareness in future generations.
Since our program is not an ad-hoc, we continue our development program that aims to help schools plan effective, sustainable programs. To date, we have number of outstanding achievements, starting from TK IT Bina Insani who succeed to won the first place in North Lombok’s competitive School Nutrition Garden Program (Project Bunzilah) to Livestock Feed Production from SMK Negeri Batu Putih that address local community issues in stock feeding.
However, in 2025, we aim for a bold and ambitious target to achieve. Our target in 2025 is to rebuild 50 schools, of which 40% of the schools will be built using eco-brick, while 60% of our school will be located in East Nusa Tenggara. Beyond that, we are excited to announce that we have successfully completed the trial phase of our Waste Management Training, and now we are ready to provide the training to all schools
Our program’s success is driven by a holistic approach that supports schools with essential infrastructure, access to clean water, computer labs, libraries, and soft skills training.
