In Buaran Mangga Village, Pakuhaji, Tangerang, access to early childhood education was once out of reach.
That changed in 2016, when the principal of KB Cahaya Persada took a simple but powerful step—she opened a preschool where none existed before. What began as a response to a community’s need quickly became a place where young children could start their learning journey.

But from the very beginning, the school faced a fundamental challenge: it didn’t have a proper building.
For years, KB Cahaya Persada operated in a former family house. It was never designed to be a school—and over time, its condition made learning increasingly difficult.
Some parts of the classroom had no ceiling at all, while others were patched with woven bamboo panels. The walls showed visible cracks, and the structure itself felt unstable. On the terrace, the roof leaked heavily.
Inside, space was just as limited. One classroom had to accommodate two study groups at the same time, making it hard for children to focus and for teachers to manage lessons effectively.

Basic learning tools were also scarce. There were only a few desks, no proper storage, and no indoor educational toys to support early childhood development.
Yet despite these conditions, the school continued.
Because for the families in Buaran Mangga, this was more than just a school—it was an opportunity. A first step. A chance for their children to learn, grow, and dream.
The commitment was there. The land was even available—granted specifically for building a proper school.
But one critical piece was still missing: the resources to make it happen.

Today, that story has changed.
Thanks to the generous support of PT Lautan Luas Tbk, KB Cahaya Persada has been completely rebuilt into a safe, child-friendly learning environment.
What was once a fragile structure is now a proper school—designed to support both education and well-being.
Students now learn in safe classrooms, equipped with:
- 10 tables and 34 chairs
- 4 cabinets and 2 whiteboards
- Educational toys that encourage active learning
Outside, children have access to three new playground installations—creating space not just for learning, but for joy, movement, and social development.

The school is also equipped with a hygienic wash facility, ensuring that basic sanitation needs are met—an essential part of a healthy learning environment.
This transformation goes beyond infrastructure. KB Cahaya Persada has been rebuilt as a Block School with environmental impact, integrating sustainability into its foundation:
- 2.2 tons of plastic waste recycled
- 5.2 tons of carbon emissions reduced
It is not only a safer place for children—but also a step toward a more sustainable future.

Thank you for making this possible to PT Lautan Luas Tbk, your support has created lasting impact.
You didn’t just help build a school—you helped build a foundation for learning, for confidence, and for the future of every child who walks through those doors.
