Happy Hearts Indonesia (HHI) is proud to celebrate our 10th anniversary by holding a Happy Hearts Indonesia 10th Anniversary Dinner with Plaza Indonesia on March 8 2023. With the theme Back to School, this event was held at La Moda – Plaza Indonesia and won donations for rebuilding 7 (seven) schools in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This Gala Dinner presents delicious dishes from 4 celebrity chefs, such as William Wongso, Gilles Marx, Yvonne Yuen and Executive Chef Markus Zuck from Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Attended by 170 distinguished guests, the event’s highlight was a live auction conducted by ISA Art and the renowned singer Vina Panduwinata. Embarking on a new initiative with the #ReachHHIgher campaign, Happy Hearts Indonesia strives to make a more significant difference by enabling underprivileged children to access quality education by constructing secure, high-quality schools. As demonstrated by the introduction of Block Schools, built from recycled plastic, the organization prioritizes educational excellence and environmental sustainability to uplift communities. Block Schools is the result of a collaboration between Happy Hearts Indonesia and Block Solutions, a company based in Finland which has developed environmentally friendly Block modules that can be used to build sustainable and safe houses and schools. Over the past decade, Happy Hearts Indonesia has expanded its reach to remote areas and underfunded schools in Indonesia. It has successfully built more than 290 schools and has provided education and support to over 81,600 children with direct impact to 408,200 community members. The #ReachHHIgher campaign is committed to reaching even further and making greater impact with 40 more school this year totaling to 330 schools by end of 2023. The new campaign invites everyone to be a part of the solution and to provide children with the tools they need to reach their full potential, along with the capacity to find ways to overcome obstacles towards limitless possibilities. HHI is dedicated to creating a brighter future for children with the support of our longtime partners and loyal contributors through innovative events and digital activation specifically crafted for the #ReachHHIgher campaign. As part of our commitment to education and child development, HHI organises Financial Management and School Entrepreneurship training programs for teachers and facilitates WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) & DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction) training programs. These programs aim to equip teachers with the necessary skills to manage finances and promote entrepreneurship, health, and safety in schools and communities, ultimately benefiting the students. “We are very excited to be celebrating our 10th anniversary with the #ReachHHIgher campaign,” said Sylvia Beiwinkler, CEO of Happy Hearts Indonesia. “We are reminded that there is still so much more we can do. The #ReachHHigher campaign by February 2023 alone has already received commitment to build fourteen schools; we are well within the target of 40 new schools by the end of 2023.”
