Our early education stage actually came from our parents. Once we are born, we learn a number of things starting from walking, speaking, how to behave, emotion management, etc, and that was all taught by our parents. Therefore, the role of parents is super important and plays a pivotal role in empowering children as well as improving our quality education.
So, what is the correlation between parents’ contribution and quality education? It is really interconnected! Engaging parents in learning processes can positively impact the student performance and elevate students’ achievement in school. What can they do? As the parents, they can cultivate the backyards of the school for gardening and planting vegetables. Through this community engagement, the students will gain support from parents directly since they also actively participate in school activities.
Happy Hearts Indonesia and ANSAC realized the importance of parents’ role in improving quality education, therefore we rebuilt PAUD Insan Kamil in 2021 that has been destroyed due to the Earthquake in 2018. Not merely rebuilding the school, but also we engaged local communities such as parents, teachers and people in the community to be proactive in strengthening the school activities through boundless relationships.
They have successfully built supportive facilities such as 1 Education Game Tools, Indoor Playground, and WASH facilities around the school. With efficient parental involvement, teachers can gain support and broaden their perspective on various situations, both inside and outside the school environment.
Therefore, to support more schools and parents to be able to engage and tightly establish a boundless relationship, we need your support to acquire an improvement in quality education and will achieve a prosperous and harmonious future of Indonesia.
