Tangerang, 10 November 2024 – Weekends are always cherished as they bring joy and relaxation to our lives. Why? Because they offer a break from the daily grind of work or school, allowing us to indulge in our favorite activities. These moments not only recharge our spirits but also boost dopamine level – helping to maintain mental well-being.
There are many ways for people to spend their weekends, some will go to amusement parks, zoos, beaches, mountains, etc. But these Singaporean groups prefer to spare their time during the weekend to do volunteer work. Sabu KV spent their weekend in Tangerang, 1.300 KM away from home in Singapore to do a noble mission – bring the school walls into life with art handwork.
TK Daarul Khuldi served 33 students, situated in Mauk, Tangerang, it plays a significant contribution to provide an early education stage for the community. With its vibrant community and eager young learners, TK Daarul Khuldi is a cornerstone of education in Mauk, Tangerang. However, like many schools in underserved areas, it has faced challenges in creating an inspiring and conducive learning environment.
That’s where the Mural Voluntrip initiative comes in—a program designed to transform schools, not only structurally but also aesthetically, by engaging volunteers in creative activities. The Sabu KV Singapore dedicated their time to spark a change – inspire students creativity through vibrant murals on the wall. They successfully turned plain and ordinary walls into lively space – embark cheerful learning and accelerate creative ideas to arise from its students.
They work tirelessly to make the space alive – painting vibrant designs that range from educational themes to playful imagery. Each stroke of the brush was filled with passion and dedication, symbolizing the volunteers’ commitment to making a positive impact on the students’ lives. This Mural Voluntrip at TK Daarul Khuldi is a testament to the power of community and cross-border collaboration in creating meaningful change.

As the weekend came to an end, the volunteers departed back to their home – left a profound impact on the school and its students.
